Welcome to a large endeavor and an exclusive service to the CMA of Texas community of artists! The plan includes working with at least one radio station in each of our 50 states within dominant country radio “hot spots,” plus working with select stations and radio personalities abroad, who have agreed to receive our artists’ recorded music for review and feedback.

The radio station will not be obligated to play an artist’s recording if it doesn’t fit their programming, and/or does not appeal to their demographics or other station criteria. However, the participating radio stations will have agreed to report their results and opinions along with their decisions about the music received. This valuable information will then be forwarded to the recording artist.

For each artist with recorded material, it should be of the highest quality from an established recording studio, copyrights in place, mastered with ISRCs and UPCs, and meet minimum requirements as expressed by the radio stations participating in the Network. For example, some of the stations may want MP3s, others may want a WAV file or Disc. As the artist, you will be advised as to what is required.

The participating radio stations will be represented on the CMA of Texas website with a separate page, until there is a need for an individual site. All of the above requires lots of time and effort from all of us and will be a constant “work in progress.” It is a very worthwhile effort and benefits everyone involved!
