A new website is in the works and will soon be appearing with a LIVE TICKET LINK. This LIVE TICKET LINK will also be posted on the Cactus Theater site. We will be in touch as soon as all is working properly. And THANK YOU!!!
This year's Awards Show is going to be a first on many fronts! For starters, we will be celebrating the OFFICIAL MUSIC OF TEXAS - WESTERN SWING
with a lineup of 2023 Award Recipients to include new talent performing this treasured music.
On Tuesday evening, 10/18, the 2023 Awards Show will include a screening of the award winning movie,
"The Birth and History of Western Swing"
from Executive Producer Mike Markwardt, beginning at 6pm followed by artists' performances as noted in the 2023 lineup.
My artist friends, you are about to discover a digital platform designed by a company who puts you, the artist, FIRST. We will be updating you periodically between now and the Awards Show about all of the perfectly designed tools at your disposal. Also, the Awards Show will be filmed and streamed LIVE this year by the wonderful team at PickleJar!!!
COMING SOON - CMA of Texas Radio Network. Not a radio reporting chart, but rather a network of radio stations (one select station in each of our 50 states) exclusively committed to receiving music from our community of Award recipients. Those stations will provide feedback on your submissions, which we believe will give you valuable information and some indication as to how your music stacks up nationwide. The launch of this network is planned for early spring of 2023. It is a large project and an original offering, which will need fine-tuning every step of the way. We believe this to be one of the many ways we can elevate your music to radio. See you soon in Lubbock!

IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Annie Davis
2023 AMERICANA ARTIST
Her stage name is "Trashy Annie," and she's a storyteller that defies description. It all began as a child growing up in quite difficult circumstances, with a mother who supported them on welfare, and where Annie quickly learned how to appreciate the value of life and how to grasp the good amidst the struggle. Yes, the stage was an early place to find that good, and she is at home today on any stage with her songs. Those songs range from whimsical to shocking, and funny to mysterious ringing with truth. We are honored to include Annie in our community of artists.
